The Full Story
I am Umberto De Caires and De Caires Classics was born from my dream.
My passion for mechanics was ignited by my father, an eclectic aerospace engineer with an unwavering love for cars, bikes, airplanes, and all things mechanical. His incredible attention to detail and knack for hand-crafting left a profound impression on me. Even as a young child, my father welcomed me into his projects, allowing me to lend a hand and explore mechanics and scale model vehicles. He nurtured my curiosity and encouraged me to get my hands dirty, instilling in me a deep appreciation for the art of mechanics.

I pursued my education in mechanics through a specialized course focused on racing in Venezuela, where I acquired a solid foundation in both basic and advanced mechanics. Eager to put my skills to the test, I began working as a trainee mechanic on regular cars.
However, my passion for custom motorbikes soon led me down a different path, where I honed my expertise in custom modifications, acquiring new skills along the way.

Life took me to Italy, where I gained valuable experience in bodywork and paintwork. This phase refined my skills and instilled in me an uncompromising attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

My journey eventually led me to Bristol, UK, where I embraced my passion for classic vehicles wholeheartedly. It was during this time that my love for classic vehicles flourished, with a particular experience with Jaguars. However, I also had the privilege of working on other iconic brands such as Porsche, Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Triumph, MG, Aston Martin, Fiat, and many more. It was in the UK that I embarked on my self-employed journey, providing exceptional services to fellow enthusiasts.
Now, I am thrilled to announce the reopening of my self-employed activity in the beautiful region of Tuscany, where I can continue to bring classic vehicles back to life and share my expertise with those who appreciate the timeless beauty and craftsmanship of these automotive treasures.
